
DC for Marriage, a project assembled by The DC Center, is a group of local residents looking to work and help the advancement of equal rights for same-sex couples in the District of Columbia. Because marriage is a basic civil right, [they] support the legal recognition of marriage between same-sex couples in the District of Columbia.
On Saturday July 11th, from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm, they will be meeting at 14th and U at Busboys and Poets. After, going to U ST Farmers Market to talk to people and ask them to sign a pledge expressing their support for gay marriage in the District of Columbia.
Never done anything like this before? Don't worry. The planners will prep with a brief training, a script and everything needed to be successful when speaking with the public about the cause.

On Sunday July 12th, from 9:30 am until 11:30 pm, they are meeting at All Soul’s Church on 1300 Harvard St, NW. This event is much like the day before, with brief training and tools available.

Finally, on Monday July 13th, from 6:30 pm until 9: 30 pm, at The DC Center, located on 1111 14th ST NW Suite 350, Washington DC, they will be working on data entry and inviting everyone and their friends to come and help! Pizza and sodas will be available and all you would need to bring is a laptop, and they will guide you through the process.
