DC for Marriage 2009

DC for Marriage, a project assembled by The DC Center, is a group of local residents looking to work and help the advancement of equal rights for same-sex couples in the District of Columbia. Because marriage is a basic civil right, [they] support the legal recognition of marriage between same-sex couples in the District of Columbia.

On Saturday July 11th, from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm, they will be meeting at 14th and U at Busboys and Poets. After, going to U ST Farmers Market to talk to people and ask them to sign a pledge expressing their support for gay marriage in the District of Columbia.
