“Every human being in the world has a void” says Kristen Stewart, whose character Bella is insufferably longing to be with Edward after he decides they are not to be together. Stewart goes on to say that that void is apparent because “you can’t live life by yourself.”

Robert Pattinson also adds that the new film, New Moon, is basically about Edward “learning a lesson”. Edward has to learn the hard way to understand that he too, cannot live without Bella.

The two have said that what drew them to the screenplay to begin with was the element of longing and effervescent passion between the two main characters, and how universal the concept is, regardless of the supernatural atmosphere of the story.

Keep up with the cast through their Northeastern US tour this month.
