Carrie Prejean, gripping her book like nobody’s business throughout the interview, appeared on Fox and Friends to promote the book Still Standing. The conservative former Miss California, now 22, had to talk about a tape of her masturbating that has made the rounds this past week.
What did she have to say to defend the tape?
“There has been a campaign ever since I gave my answer, and that’s the most important thing for people to know. There has been a campaign to silence me. That’s why I wrote this book.”
The great thing about Fox, and this particular interview, is that they are so excited about this conservative-beauty-queen that they don’t even pressure their subject, with the question of the hour. As if, yes, she was to be silenced, but she broke through and because of that she is now a martyr. Bleg.
Listen, you aren’t a bad person, but you making nasty videos for yourself, your boyfriend, or somebody else is just that, so take responsibility for it. It just makes the more sense that this objectified woman is trying to deprive others of their rights with her hateful campaigning, but again, everyone deserves their right to pursue their own truth.
Prejean has joined forces to campaign against gay marriage, so it’s likely she’ll be seen around for a bit.
