Asuka Kondoh, a latin ballroom dancer from Irvine, Calif., will not return to next week's episode of So You Think You Can Dance. She was eliminated on the June 25 episode by judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest judge Toni Basil (of "Mickey" fame).
After performing their jazz routine chreographed by Mandy Moore, not enough viewers voted for Kondoh and partner Vitolio Jeune, and the pair landed in the bottom three couples. Kondoh danced for her life with two other dancers on the show, Caitlin Kinney and Karla Garcia.
In the clip below, Kondoh reveals that if she weren't a dancer she would be a jewelry designer. She is a University of California, Irvine, graduate and teaches dance at Club One Studio in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Orange County's Ade Obayomi of Orange, Calif., was safe in last night's episode and, according to choreographer Li'l C, may be the dancer to beat. To show Asuka some support, visit her Myspace profile.
