Thursday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County was the last for Jeana Keough, a Coto de Caza real estate agent and Playboy playmate who was one of the last two original housewives left on the series. In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Jeana revealed her reasons for leaving the show, which she says were strictly business.
"I needed a summer to get my business back on track. I took a few other jobs. I’m doing, like, three spokesperson jobs. I needed to focus on my income ... I really didn’t have time to do the show," she said in the interview, noting that her business level went down two-thirds because of national housing market problems, but assuring viewers that she is still "extremely wealthy."
Though in her opinion the show accurately depicts the downsizing that many people in Orange County are going through in the current economic climate, there are three things that she will not sacrifice. "[T]he pool man, the plant man and the housekeeper. I will walk before I give them up. I can’t stand a green pool and I love green plants. And I want a clean toilet," she said.
Jeana's relationship with Vicki Gunvalson is amicable, though the two are too busy to be able to talk as often as they have in the past. The financial slights Vicki made about her in the most recent episode hurt her for just a few seconds, but she got over them and the pair remained friends.
In the interview, she also reveals plans for an upcoming book, a return to television, thoughts on her dating life and her belief that Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley will get married in a future episode.
