Yes! Italian chef Fabio Viviani, who was crowned Top Chef's fan favorite in season 5, is finally getting his own show on Bravo. He'd returned to the network on Top Chef: Masters and does a regular web feature at Bravotv.com where he teaches viewers how to make the night's winning dish, so it was a clear a series was in his future.
The currently untitled project will feature Viviani and his business partner, Jacopo Falleni, as they expand their clientele, cater high-end events and climb the culinary ladder in the Los Angeles area. Each week the series will follow Viviani, the executive chef of Cafe Firenze Italian Restaurant and Martini Bar, as he completes a challenging culinary event. After Top Chef, Viviani can probably handle anything, and his candid comments should be hilarious and endearing. Let's hope we also get to meet his mother, who he talked about with so much love during the Top Chef competition.
Viviani's restaurant concentrates on Italian cuisine, but fuses it with French and Spanish influences. According to MapQuest, Cafe Firenze is only about an hour and a half from Orange County. For fans of Viviani and Top Chef, dinner there would make a great adventure.
