OK, so it rained in London today. The date was July 7th. So why would anyone write an article about it? Well, to begin with, Piers Corbyn, astrophysicist, was hit with a 10mm hail stone at about 6pm in Walworth South London. What is significant is that he knew this storm was going to hit London and when, well in advance. He is the principle of WeatherAction.com a long range weather prediction service in the UK and this storm was part of a series of successful predictions based on the Sun's activity. He does not use the typical weather charts of the UK Met office and they are not happy about that. The Met office actually uses a combination of meteorology and ideology, being firmly behind the IPCC's alarmist projections of doom.
According to Piers: "It was a pleasure to experience because our long range forecast for July stated in detail that 'Sharp extra activity' was likely specifically on the 7th. We are very pleased with the good timing of events being predicted by our Solar Weather Technique version SWT25d. We have just had a quieter couple of days as we expected. This storm has come right on time"
His prediction was not just for a rainstorm, but a " Solar-driven thunderblast" which is UK terminology for one big gully washer.
Here are more of Piers comments: "The 'Sharp Extra activity' meant that the rainy tendency around Britain (eg) would be very likely to turn into thundery deluges on this day - rather than just being normal rain. This event was driven by a predicted energetic 'red spike' of solar-driven increased frontal and thundery activity. It was a 'solar driven thunderblast' ".
In defining the event Piers described it saying,"I saw deafening thunderflashes at lower than 1500 ft and widespread 'instant' flooding. The hail was stinging and spread over playgrounds looking like snow from the distance and piled up in shovelfulls due to eddy winds around blocks of flats. The heaps of hail stayed for hours and I put a sample in a jar in my fridge".
By any measure this was a pretty wild event. That it was predicted based on Solar data only brings up a significant point. If Piers Corbyn can determine the type and date of an event using the Sun, one can make the conclusion that it controls our weather. That is not because of one event, but several years of successful long range predictions anywhere from 30 days to a full year in advance. Piers claims an accuracy record of 80+% and my monitoring of his successes and failures of the past couple of years confirms that assessment. Piers commented: "We are doubly pleased with the results for this specific SWIP (Solar Weather Impact Period) forecast. Firstly, as we expect, such predictable solar driven extreme events normally have world-wide impact and in the USA - New England - heavy rain flooding, hail and thunder which was happening the other side of the Atlantic at the same time as Cornwall & Dublin were being deluged - was described as 'a siege of wet & stormy (weather)....'. There were near simultaneous storms in many parts of the world and deadly flooding in China also reached a crescendo in this SWIP. The timing of these events matched our forecasted SWIP to the day" All this, world wide, from one "energetic red-spike".
Piers has made this statement that goes along with my previous post, "World cooling is here to stay and the new round of climate alarmism just announced by UK Government ministers and the Met Office of more extreme weather and warming in coming decades driven by mankind has no merit and is defied by the facts and front-line science", said Piers as his forecast from three weeks ahead was confirmed for the formation of the first East Pacific typhoon of the season* off Mexico. When Piers says the cooling is here to stay he is referring to 100 years. That is a bit short of Timo's prediction but give it time. Piers is saying 100 years or more.
What is the value of these forecasts? Farmers are particularly fond of his product because it saves them money. Others could very likely avoid exposure to violent weather in planning parties and weddings
. Communities could plan for evacuations and emergency services. The biggest problem? Global warming proponents don't like it that his forecasts are based on the Sun. That is the last thing they want to read in the news. Piers Corbyn is a thorn in their side.
Piers, in an ABC News special, commented that he used to supplement his income by making wagers with the bookies in London until he won too often and they wouldn't take the bets anymore. That should tell you something.
On climate change Piers had this to say, "
