The Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain in Marana is the extraordinary setting for a vintner dinner hosted by Dennis Cakebread of Cakebread Cellars of Napa Valley on Wednesday, October 21.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a butler-passed hors d'oeuvres cocktail reception followed by a 7 p.m. three-course dinner and selected Cakebread wine pairings. The dinner will feature a sneak preview of Chef Joel Harrington’s cuisine from CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar. The cost is $125 per person which includes reception, dinner and wine pairings -- tax and gratuity not included.
Here's a hint of eloquently prepared menu items -- truffled beets, poached lobster salad, spiced fillet of beef, royal trumpet mushrooms, trio of Calif. cheeses, chocolate truffles. Tasting is believing.
Wines poured include Cakebread Cellars: Sauvignon Blanc/Napa Valley 2008, Chardonnay/Napa Valley 2002, Dancing Bear Ranch/Howell Mountain 2004, and Zinfandel/Napa Valley 2005. The Cakebread family has been making award winning wines for more than 30 years.
