The lanky 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who will be a senior at Southfield-Lathrup High near Detroit, had spent two days in Iowa City in mid-June, where he attended Prime Time League games and met with the Iowa coaching staff.
Coming off an exceptional junior season that saw Marble average 22 points per contest, scholarship offers began rolling in from numerous schools, including several mid-major programs. Marble was also offered a scholarship by Providence head coach Keno Davis, whose father Tom coached Marble Sr. at Iowa in the late 80s.
Marble becomes the third member of Iowa’s 2010 recruiting class, and is the second player to commit in as many days. He joins power forward Cody Larson (6-9, 225, Sioux Falls, SD) and point guard Ben Brust (6-2, 170, Mundelein, IL). Iowa is expected to add one more player to this class.
