The Logo for Mass Effect 2

Electronic Arts has just released more screenshots of Mass Effect 2.  Most of what we have found out so far has come from the Prelude to E3 video.

Although we still don't know much about the game, two things are known for sure.  One is that the game has become darker in every aspect.  The first game of the series was already pretty dark, but check out the slideshow below and you will get a sense of how much darker it has become.  Visually, Mass Effect 2 has taken a step forward and that is saying a lot.

The world of Mass Effect 2 is even bigger than its predecessor.  There will be more planets to explore and open up more of the story or just to fool around in.  More alien races will be involved and you better believe there will be a larger threat than Saren and his Geth army.  The Hands-on demo of ME2, which made its debut at E3, gives an idea of how much bigger the gameplay has become.

While we wait for more info, play Mass Effect to freshen up your memory.  Don't forget to play the downloable content.  Check out this story about the dlc and ME2 here.
