Squirrels can do damage to your RV

A squirrel can and will chew roof vents, eat all the way through a LP gas hose, gnaw TV cables...
Any part of your RV that can be scratched or chewed is vulnerable to squirrel damage. These cute but destructive little rodents have been known to completely "total" a camper that was stored for a season by damaging the roof, allowing rain to come inside.
So, if you set up camp where there is even one squirrel, beware!
- Never leave outside storage compartments open--squirrels living in campgrounds are not shy and are happy to look around in your rig for something to amuse themselves.
- Don't try to attract squirrels by feeding them. Do what you can to deter them from hanging around your rig.
- Thoroughly inspect your RV on a regular basis if it is parked in an area where squirrels can get to it. Check all hoses, wiring, vents, gaskets, underbelly, insulation, etc.
You've spent a lot of money on your traveling home. Don't let rodents destroy it!
