Who's the REAL "King of Pop?"

It’s always sad to hear that someone has died, and especially heartbreaking when it’s a genius the world will never see again. Michael Jackson was clearly an uber-entertainer, with loads of talent. But his life followed the same sorry script so many others have acted out, even long before him. Take an idol, add some enablers who isolate and ply him with drugs while living high off his dependencies, then watch him tailspin out of control, without anyone doing anything to stop the madness.

Sadly, Peter Pan went to Neverland, living the last decade or so of his life in scandal and money woes to boot. Why? Because he simply refused to grow up, and no one had the guts or decency to tell him he had to. What’s shocking is that upon his death, we hear surprise and a public outcry for an answer to why this happened to someone so young, talented and beloved. Yet there’s still no call for personal accountability, other than maybe the last doctor to inject this human pin cushion.
How many times do we have to watch this movie? Every year, it seems, there’s another remake with a new star playing the leading role. Then instead of boycotting the current show, we ask to see the IMAX version. We just can’t get enough, and there are plenty of ex-enablers still running around eager to make their second fortune on the idol’s afterlife.
Maybe the Prince of Pop can rest in peace along with the bones of the Elephant Man that he bought as what, an investment? Which enabler advised him on that deal? Tiny Tim Geithner? As crass as this might sound, this story completely cries out for crass, because the press and public seem to need a two-by-four to understand their accountability. They might as well just stuff Jacko and put him in the Smithsonian. Instead of raising our taxes, the government could start charging admission and watch as fans from around the globe descend on the Capitol Mall in a feeding frenzy. There’s a plan for Geithner. Talk about reducing the deficit! Ridiculous, you say?  Madame Tussauds is already making a bundle off the Wax Museum version of this idol.
But what I find even more incredulous is that half way around the world, many brave souls in Iran are being mowed down in the streets by a tyrannical regime in the name of a fanatical version of Islam, yet that story is eclipsed by the noise of this latest celebrity casualty. Left unchecked, we not only continue making and boosting more idols, but we end up with one in a place of real national decision making, like the Great Pretender we now have in the White House.
When you think about it, Obama’s script has been eerily similar to every other idol’s. He was launched into stardom on his verbal talent and appeal, and he even worked his “waiter” job, as a community organizer, between acting gigs.  He picked up a few handlers and mouthpieces, like Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Robert Gibbs and James Carville, to name a few.
These manipulators have made sure his insecurities remain intact, while they parade him out on stage every day to fill his personal need to be liked. They insulate him from reality and carry out their own left-wing agenda, rewriting the Constitution and reupholstering the seat of the Presidency we once revered. And through it all, no one dares to tell the emperor he isn’t wearing any clothes, or if they do, they’re threatened with a “Fairness Doctrine”, or other means of silencing them.
Obama continues executing the Office of the Presidency as the “Paris Hilton of Politics”, the “Engelbert Humperdinck” to fans who swoon and drop like flies when he utters a few words on stage. I keep expecting the main stream media to start throwing panties and hotel room keys at him during a press conference.
He’s like a horse with blinders on, racing around the track, with Uncle Sam on his back. Will he make it over the high jump? Or will Uncle Sam be thrown off and trampled, his racing days over.
America deserves better, as does the Presidency. To have the highest office in our land hijacked by a faux Prince of Pop and his political puppeteers should enrage all of us, not just the half of the country that lost its grip on the reins. “We” are the “We” in “We the People,” and if we don’t take control away from these drunks, then we deserve to crash and burn.
While this portrait of Barack Obama is that of the victim, the only other logical choice we have is to paint him as the evil emperor. Either he knows this stuff is going on, and he’s complicit, having given his henchmen the green light to carry out his Socialist agenda, or he’s so absolutely blinded by his own ego that he fails to see what’s going on around him.
Which Obama is it? If he’s the victim, then we can fully expect see more bizarre acting out. We’ve seen a few hints of this, what with his gift basket of his 25 favorite movie videos to the Prime Minister of England that weren’t even compatible with European electrical standards, and that iPod he gave the Queen that included his top ten favorite speeches from his latest global apology tour. People took notice, but other than a few heads that probably rolled in the lower ranks of the Party, Obama came off without even a scraped knee.
So here we are, at the crossroads. Throughout the world, an old brand of chaos ensues, while the Presidency remains hijacked by Robin Hood and his Merry Men. It ain’t a pretty sight!
I say we call it what it is, a complete railroading of the Presidency, and stop piddling around waiting for Obama and his Party to “go too far” before we stop the mere rhetoric and take real action. If we’re truly Americans, and we truly believe these guys are a threat to the highest office in our land, we have a duty and obligation to protect the fabric of our great nation.
Many of us have stepped up and called upon legislators by phone, or written emails and letters proclaiming our outrage. We still have one media outlet that reports the news in a “fair and balanced” way, but with the “Fairness Doctrine” lurking in the shadows. But that seems to be the place where we’re stuck. Without concern that we might be overstepping our bounds, we stay frozen in that place, while America is taken down, notch by notch, by a group of thugs exploiting a man-boy trying to reconcile the absence of his father with his idea of social justice for all.
In Iran, the carnage has started. Do we wait until enough blood is shed before we act like the leader of the free world and call out the cavalry? Are we waiting for another John Wayne, a la Ronald Reagan, to jump into the scene and rescue this movie from a really bad ending? How much bloodshed is too much? Wasn’t the film of “Neda”, the poster-girl of Islam oppression who died a victim of the Iranian madmen, enough to boil our own blood?
The Presidency, and our country, hang in the balance of whatever actions we take. I say it’s time to call “CUT!” on this very bad movie and fire the whole lot of second-rate actors and stunt men. It’s time to rescue Lady Liberty from the hands of those reckless thugs who bought the Presidency while half of us sat idly by, not even willing to admit that we had put her up for sale.
We have so many friends and families, overseas and at home, who are risking life and limb every day in the name of our great Lady. Let’s do our part to help them. Let’s do what we can so their hard work and sacrifices don’t end up in vain.
We are the “We” in “We the People”. Let’s act like it and step up the pressure. It’s time to put this country in overdrive.
