The 10 tips on "How to choose a mineral foundation," listed below allows consumers the advantage of finding the correct mineral foundation makeup product for their skin’s specific needs.

  1. Choose a mineral makeup recommended by physicians.  Physicians recommend mineral foundations that are mica, silk, talc, biron, and bismuth free.
  2. Choose a mineral foundation makeup that doesn’t require a setting or veil powder to tone down the shine, glow, and glitter. (Stick with bismuth, mica, and biron free foundations to avoid this problem).
  3. Read all mineral makeup foundation labels prior to purchasing any full sized products.
  4. Choose a mineral makeup that is healthy and safe for the skin.  Mineral foundation ingredients that are FDA approved.  This is important to prevent breakouts and/or ingredient allergies.
  5. Purchase a good mineral makeup foundation brush to test mineral foundations, or they may not apply properly.
  6. Purchase mineral makeup samples before buying full sized mineral makeup products.  Most mineral makeup brands offer mineral foundation samples that are well worth the money.
  7. Test mineral foundation samples according to the enclosed instructions. Not all mineral makeup brands are applied the same.

  10. Ask mineral makeup companies about any upcoming sales or check mineral makeup review organization blogs and mineral makeup news websites.
