The P&G magazine known as Rouge, focuses on the latest skin care, makeup, cosmetics, beauty and fashion industry trends.

Rouge magazine is rich in P&G's product line of coupons, which allow cosmetic shoppers the opportunity to try new makeup, skin care, and hair care products at $1.00-$2.00 savings. Sources say cosmetic and skin care giant P&G is looking at Rouge to amp-up its cosmetic sales in a way that Sunday advertisements and digital media cannot.

Makeup, skin care, and other cosmetics companies look to impulse shoppers for at least 50% of their sales according to ongoing studies. P&G's cosmetic brands include:

Rouge magazines fall/winter issue mailed free to homes in the US starting in September 2009 and included beauty and fashion articles including:

  • How to look runway ready
  • Get the goods on hot new products including Olay, CoverGirl, Pantene, and More.
  • Tips from beauty industry insiders like celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath
  • Sign up to win a trip to the Winter Olympic Games at Whistler

Proctor and Gamble's Rouge magazine is custom published and has been in Canadian circulation for approximately 4 years. Rouge is expected to be in 11 million households by the end of 2010, though could reach 18 million is distribution rates in the US match or exceed those in Canada.
