A few weeks ago Boston University released their season schedule and announced their home opener and National Championship banner raising would take place on October 20 when the Terriers host the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame. Other season schedule highlights include the return of Red Hot Hockey. BU will travel to New York City to take on Cornell at Madison Square Garden on November 28. The most anticipated event of the season is most certainly the Hockey East a Fenway Park event which will be held on January 8. Boston College will open their season on the road in Vermont on Sunday, October 18. The Eagles will travel to South Bend, Indiana to take on Notre Dame on October 23 before returning home for their home-opener against Merrimack. Like rival Boston Univeristy, the highlight on BC's schedule is undoubtably the Hockey East at Fenway game. Northeastern will also open their season on the road when they take on Colorado College in back-to-back games. The Huskies will return home to christen the newly renovated Matthews Arena on October 16 when they take on Bentley. Hockey East play begins for NU on October 23 in New Hampshire. In the ECAC, Harvard will open their season with 5 straight road games before finally coming home to Cambridge to take on St. Lawrence and Clarkson in their home-opener weekend. Harvard Season Schedule.
