Whole Foods opened its doors today on the Upper West Side, 808 Columbus Avenue between 97th street and 98th street.
The beautiful, bi-level store seems to offer a wider range of local products including Candle 79 pre-made food, Gnosis Chocolate, Sweet and Sara Marshmallow Treats and plenty of produce from the region. Next door, the Whole Foods Wine Shop offers an organic wine section (featuring my favorite, Bonterra Vineyards) as well as some of the best local wines such Fox Run and Herman Wiemer, both from the Finger Lakes.
Whole Foods is open from 8am-11pm daily. Check out their site for upcoming events like free wine tastings and meatless Mondays.
