Former Penn Charter(PA) and University of Virginia star point gaurd Sean Singletary has earned an invitation to Sixers camp.
The 24-year-old, 6-foot gaurd was a second round pick in 2008 by the Kings. Last season he played 13 games with the Suns and 24 with the Bobcats.
Singletary is remembered as one of the best players in Virginia history, being named All-ACC three times. His jersey number 44 was retired earlier this year.
With the signing of Andre Miller to Portland, the Sixers only have two point guards in rookie Jrue Holiday and starter Louis Williams. There may be room for Singletary. More of a scoring gaurd, Singletary can provide a spark off the bench. Here are some of his highlights from college.
The Sixers open camp September 29 at Saint Joseph's University.
