First year player Blake Griffin has been turning heads thus far in his young career. The 6-foot-10, 251 pound forward for the Clippers has a few doubters since being the number one pick in this year's draft. Many questioned whether or not his size and skill set would be suitable to the League.
Those who know better did not listen to the critics. Griffin has something that a lot of players don't a have, a sheer desire to be the best. The energy that he plays with combined with his God given talents is what will separate him from many of his peers I mean have you seen this guy play. Any doubts I had about the Oklahoma product ended in the NCAA's this year. In a beatdown of Michigan, Griffin nearly jump over his defender en route to a fast break dunk.
In the pre-season he has put up some impressive numbers, putting up 15 points and 8.2 reobounds per game in 28.4 minutes of action per game. His highlight came against powerful San Antonio, putting up 23 points and 7 rebounds. That performance led to coach Greg Popavich to sing his praises simply stating, "He's a monster."
The following is just one clip of a productive pre-season for Griffin. Here he is shown throwing one down in the throat of Lakers big man DJ Mbenga. Enjoy!! Blake Griffin is the truth!!
