ArtDisaster-2009-10-01-web

You are probably already going to Art Disaster No. 9, so have a free mp3 from The Authors just for fun.

The EP dropped in April, the band scored some favorable press, a little play time on Andy Langer's "Next Big Thing" show on 101X, and a band of the month win on The Deli Austin. And as the band plans it's first full length, they produce a new song to hold you over until, that showcases the progression of the band's sound. There's no mistaking Justin Prater's sound, beat driven, slick, and quick to the point, but Prater introduces us to a side of his songwriting and sound that has a little edge.

Listen, download, share, rock and enjoy!

The Authors - ‘Feels Like Running’

The opportunity to catch the band performing some of their new material, is just around the corner as well. Kick off your ACL Weekend with Art Disaster #9 happening at The Beauty Bar on Thur Oct 1st. Great bands and some great local folks putting this event together for you. The Authors take the stage at 10:15 and there is an open bar sponsored by Three Olives Vodka from 8:30 - 10, so get there early and get your dance lube flowing.
