From now through June 21st an exhibit of stunning silver gelatin prints will be on view from Somerville photographer Meg Birnbaum at a new gallery in Belmont, Griffin Museum at Digital Silver Imaging. This is the innagural show celebrating a new partnership between Digital Silver Imaging and the Griffin Museum of Photography.
Meg Birnbaum is well known for her photography using a plastic Holga camera, and of her series "Corn Dogs and Blue Ribbons" Birnbaum says, "I purposely wanted to lose sharp detail and instead capture a fleeting moment, a broad stroke, the distillation of the experience in the hope of capturing iconic imagery."
See the work and fall in love.
