Make Mine Local Fiber Arts Fashion Showcase 2009
The Common Cod Fiber Guild

The Common Cod Fiber Guild has done it again! They have created a dynamic program in support of fiber artists and Boston's local arts community and are presenting it for a mere $5 ticket price.

The fashion event, Make Mine Local Fiber Arts Fashion Showcase 2009, will be held Friday, November 13th from 7 - 9pm, on the MIT campus (Building 101. 50 Vassar Street, Room 34-101, Cambridge, MA 02142). This event has the theme of Fall In New England and will be sure to inspire and delight.

The guest hostess this year is Shannon Okey of Knitgrrl Studio. Okey runs her own publishing venture of digital and print publications, and is ensconced in the contemporary craft world. At the showcase she will will introduce the local designs on the runway and answer the question on everyone's mind, “Can you make a living by designing fiber fashion?”
