The Beatles: Rock Band shipped with a variety of tracks spanning the wildly popular and influential band's career. The Beatles' song list is so large, however, that all of it couldn't fit into one game. Harmonix will be adding new content starting October 20th, 2009. Knoxville Beatles fans should welcome the new additions.
Tomorrow's DLC will focus on the Beatles' Abbey Road album. The last recorded by the band, it is famed for its tight construction-despite the band's rapidly-deteriorating relationship. This DLC package will add music from the album not included with the game's release. New tracks include:
Highlights of the new release include the capability to play the entire B-side of the album, a 16-minute medley of "You Never Give Me Your Money," "Sun King," "Mean Mr. Mustard," "Polythene Pam," "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window," "Golden Slumbers," "Carry That Weight" and "The End" and the ability to perform sets of the preceding songs according to how they were recorded. These sets are as follows:
The DLC's pricing will vary by system. For the Xbox 360 and PS3, a "Complete the Album" edition is available, costing $16.99, or 1360 Microsoft points for Xbox 360 owners. Singles of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," "Because," and "Oh! Darling," completing the album's A-side, will be available for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points). The Wii version prices the preceding three tracks at 200 Wii Points and "Her Majesty" for 100 Wii Points. Wii owners will also be able to purchase the "Sun King"/ "Mean Mr. Mustard," "Polythene Pam"/ "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window," and "Golden Slumbers"/ "Carry That Weight"/ "The End" sets for 350 Wii Points each.
