Anyone who has traveled to Paris whether it was for study-abroad or for a romantic getaway can remember indulging in street vendor crepes as indulgently filled with Nutella or as simply spread with butter. From the creators of Yogurt World, Crepe World recreates the fun of a Paris crepe vendor within the walls of their storefront on Convoy Street. In addition to the favorites, they offer their own spins on a French favorite. The menu is divided into seven crepe choices: dessert crepes, fruit crepes w/ Nutella, fruit crepes w/ custard, fruit crepes w/ cheesecake, fruit crepes w/ ice cream and for those going for a more savory note—sandwich crepes. They also offer Egg Puffs and the already popular treat of waffles and ice cream—you can even get Octopus if dessert really is off the menu. Each crepe is wrapped in bright pink paper as thin as the crepe itself and if you manage to get there before bedtime, it may even be handed to you by a precious little boy who comes in to help the family run the café. Eating the crepes does take some finesse. There’s an inner battle between using a spoon or diving face first, either way be prepared to have sticky hands and face. Maybe you can let me know if you have perfected the method of eating one. Location: 4646 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111
