As it rained cats and dogs in New York City, the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Tribeca was where the sun was shining. As early as 3:30pm, Lauren Conrad fans rapidly filled up the bookstore to get a first hand look at the bodacious beauty for the signing of her just released novel LA Candy. However, truly devoted fans of LC had to arrive early in the morning to be gauranteed a first come, first serve look as Barnes and Noble were giving out primary seats for the first 250 people at 9am. The Tribeca bookstore originally intended to give out 500 bracelets only, but over 600 or almost close to 1,000 people showed up to see Lauren Conrad for themselves. And Ms. Lauren Conrad herself signed copies for all those that came, from beginning to end. In anticipation of Lauren's arrival, the good people of Barnes and Noble aired The Hills Season 4 dvd for all of Lauren's young female fans who were mainly in their pre-teens and teens. During the wait, Vanessa who's 11 years old of New York City knew so much about the in's and out's of reality TV and knew of people that were, are, or had friends who are involved in a reality show, that you would immediately call Vanessa very mature for her age. Two other girls around the same age were just devoted to Lauren and her click of friends that if you even mentioned Kristin Cavallari, you would get what everyone else is saying, "The Hills won't be the same without Lauren", "The Hills should just end". As 6:30pm approached, the good people of Barnes & Noble told us to move up and make the line tighter; the excitement was building in and the cameras were getting ready for their flash. And as we're closing in at 7:15pm, fans are getting anxious, climbing on bookselves and breaking them, like this reporter did, as the guest of honor, Lauren Conrad arrives. From here on in, fans scream and cheer while they snap their tiny digital cameras as they get inches closer to having LC's initials signed inside their hard covers, and come face to face with the strikingly beutiful Lauren herself. For the next two hours, young girls dressed in lauren-esque fashion, consisting of shirts, shaws, or a dress with leggings come out with OMG looks on their faces after seeing Ms. Conrad in real life. The glowing looks on all the girls faces were at an all time high, with nothing but praise for Lauren Conrad. Even the twenty-something crowd and young professionals got involved in the act. And yes, guys showed up too; whether to support their "girl" friends, or showed up by themselves, some in suits. Finally, by 9pm the line was whinding down with the last designated fans leaving around 5 after the hour, only to continue their adventure outside as they attempted to snap one last glimple of the former MTV starlet being driven away from the garage. But the best way to know that the long, exciting, and hard day was over was when the bodyguards bless themselves thanking God for getting through this day. From pounding hearts to shedding tears, Lauren's fans will always be greatful for Lauren's presense, and Lauren will indeed be estatic that fans overexciting the limit came out to support her. Lauren Conrad is here to stay, and her fans are staying too. Indeed, it was a good day, especially for this reporter.
