Controversial Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is stirring the pot once again. This time, he’s diving into the topic of performance enhancing drugs in sports.

Cuban recently was quoted as saying, “I'll get killed for saying this but I'm not so against steroids if they're administered under proper supervision and there is no long-term damage.”
Cuban just gave one reason why so many athletes use PEDs: they work and aid in the speed of recovery. By adding the proper supervision and no long term damage, Cuban has covered his bases. However, since the drugs work and are not natural, it’s an unfair advantage for athletes to be allowed to benefit from their use.

Others will say all PEDs should be legal. If that were the case, then athletes would be looking for the best chemist, not the best coach. Athletes even with the aid of steroids reach a certain peak in performance. Once the athlete peaks, he’ll be looking for another way to get an edge.

Normally Cuban backs up these proclamations like the instance he worked at Dairy Queen following comments he made where invoked the challenges faced while managing the popular ice cream store. Maybe Cuban will take the spike if he ever gets injured and give a full report.
