The 61st Emmy Awards turned out mostly solid looks on the red carpet. Celebs remained safe in classic gowns so it was hard to find a hands-down worst dressed celebrity ... until we stumbled upon Phoebe Price.
Pheobe Price was in one word - disastrous. What could have been sexy - turned out to be the costume of a villainous character from some Disney movie. Maybe it was the eyes, perhaps it was the hair combined with the head jewels, and then the whirlwind dress that seem to always be spinning as if she was caught in some singular tornado. Phoebe seemed to not want to leave the red carpet. At every turn, there was this disaster. It was such a spectacle; it had no equal.

Then there was Sarah Silverman. Certain people just do not clean up well and Sarah Silverman is one of those people. The dress wore her and, at some points, it seemed as though it was going to swallow her. The hair was there - dark, long and pulled back like Joe on Facts of Life, the early days. Silverman is hilarious and there was a time when not much was expected from comedians in the area of style but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler has taught us otherwise!

Victoria Rowell, Lisa Edelstein and Melora Hardin total up the 5 worst dressed celebrities at the Emmy Awards show last night.
Victoria Rowell made no positive fashion statement in her statement dress with President Obama's likeness as the graphic print; too casual for the Emmy's. There is something indelicate about wearing the picture of another woman's live-and-well husband on your body, agree?

Lisa Edelstein's perfect figure could not keep her off this list. Her eyes matched the gorgeous blue of the dress but...the trim...in white? Blue and white for a formal gown rarely works without seeming a bit bo-peepish. And the hair - was she zapped by a live electrical wire before walking the red carpet?
Melora Hardin's yellow multi-tiered dress did nothing for her natural beauty.
Lastly, we have a new category - worst dressed celebs from a cast ensemble. This category came about when each cast member of Showtime's Weeds walked the red carpet looking messier than the last. Some television shows have a profound influence on popular culture and its fashion sense - Charlie's Angels, Sex and the City, even the Cosby Show. Weeds will never be one such show - and neither will its cast members.
