Yigal Azrouel continues to deliver edgy yet chic pieces for New York's girl with a keen sense of style. Azrouel emphasized geometrical shapes and patterns by adding mesh to cut outs to form an eye-catching top under a washed viscose linen jacket or to add intrigue to a jersey chiffon dress in black.
More geometric shapes were seen in patterns on drawstring pants - a popular feature on the runway - and a silk voile dress. Jersey tops and dresses were slashed tapping into the 80s trend and creating the effortless look his customers have come to love. He continued to add adored features such as removable sleeves on trenches for which every girl in New York will be pining. The look on the runway was neatly pulled back hair or, the show opener and model of the moment, Tao Okamoto's closely cropped bob.
Also, in the audience was HBO's Entourage star and beauty, Emmanuelle Chriqui, who represents the Yigal Azrouel style unequivocally. She wore a leopard print dress which complimented her sun-bathed, flawless complexion. (See slideshow for image.)

The collection is what we come to expect from Azrouel but all still so very delectable. Again this season, he managed to make all the young gals in the audience gasp when he sent out a motor jacket in antique nappa lamb. Unsafe is the girl spotted in the stony, draped jacket this spring.

This spring season, Azrouel also added menswear to the runway which mimicked the women's cutting and slashing of casual fabrics but with a more punk feel. Drawstring features in pants were also incorporated but with cuffed pants and shorts. The best piece was a two-toned tuxedo blazer matched with a charcoal striped slash neck tank and a tuxedo pant.
