Women's trends undergo a more measurable change from season to season compared to men's. If you are tired of throwing on a button down, vest & jeans as your edgy statement - here are some looks to note from the European men's shows. Here is a quick wrap up of the most notable collections you need to know about. I just want to know where are all the men that dress like this? I need to hang out there.
The Dolce & Gabbana collection was an explicit display of experts at work on developing the tuxedo and suits infusing color and texture into a very singular wear. High and low pink tuxedos were still very masculine and retained a classic rigor. Dolce and Gabbana, in addition to popping colors, presented quilted jackets and suits, weaved leather jackets and deliciously luxe overnight carriers.
The Barack Obama craze was not exempt from the runways as an Obama lookalike was sent down the Lanvin runway dressed in a black overcoat, white shirt and necktie - a hand dressed in black leather gloves raised as though greeting a crowd. The collection had less to do with Obama as it had to do with grunge. At the least, it was a nod of approval to the new American President and I give a nod to the slickly dressed collection despite its target - the most obnoxious, spoiled international rich boy.
