Scherer Gonzalez
Scherer Gonzalez Fall 2008

The best emerging designers in fashion offer a bit of  extreme and fantasy to their collections. They generate a conversation with signature designs and dare to take fashion to another sphere. Playing with geometrical shapes, voluminous structures and conceptualized details, the following designers are emerging as visionaries in their craft.

  1. Scherer Gonzalez - German designers, Constanze G. González and Paul Scherer, have a solid following but just entered the mainstream market with a spring presentation at Berlin's premier fashion week. Floral shoe concepts for spring 2009 had shoe enthusiast across the globe salivating and proclaiming the line a work of art.  The duo constructed amazing pieces for fall 2008 exaggerating the female form with cinched waists, broad shoulder tops, and gowns featuring electrifying hips. Architectural designs combined with luxe materials created a base for their fall collection that can be described as futuristic. If you are looking for an original bridal gown, look to Scherer Gonzalez.

Modernist
Modernist Spring 2009
  1. Modernist - Abdul Koroma and Andrew Jones, while working for MaxMara, have dared to venture on their own and launch their first London presentation for spring 2009. Koroma and Jones are indeed talented craftsmen and their debut collection is certainly proving them to be visionaries. They will soon join the ranks of the best in fashon.

Christoper Kane
Christopher Kane Spring 2009
  1. Christopher Kane - The spring 2009 collection was inspired by Planet of the Apes, the Flinstones, and dinosaurs. Any designer who can find inspiration in oddities not generally related to fashion and create a solid collection deserves praise indeed. The dinosaur heavy textures and silhouettes Kane created are completely new to the fashion pallet.

Gareth Pugh
Gareth Pugh Spring 2009
  1. Gareth Pugh - The Paris debut of Gareth Pugh was another story of a designer taking their collection on the road and, if not accomplishing 'success', accomplishing the gain of international attention. Some remnants of Viktor & Rolf, some remnants of Commes des Garçon, Gareth Pugh is set to introduce his own puzzle to the international fashion community.

Ohne Titel
Ohne Titel Spring 2009

  1. Ohne Titel - Alexa Adams and Flora Gill played with opaque and translucent materials to build sculptural silhouettes for spring. The collection is whimsical and focused establishing a very wearable line.
