The 4th of July is only a few days away.  Chances are you need something to read on the boat, beach, or by the pool.  The shorter week may mean fewer events, but these author talks and signing are still worth going to.  Happy Reading!

Seattle Public Library (Northgate Branch):  Poet Elizabeth Austen will discuss her works and influences at 6:30 p.m. (free).

Secret Garden Bookshop:  Illustrator Kevan J. Atteberry will share his new children's book Tickle Monster at 7 p.m. (free).

Third Place Books (Lake Forest Park):  Kate Christensen will discuss her novel Trouble at 7 p.m. (free).

University Book Store (University District):  Karen Joy Fowler will sign and discuss her books at 7 p.m. (free).

Elliot Bay Book Co.:  Catherine Whitney will discuss her book Soldiers Once:  My Brother and the Lost Dreams of America's Veterans at 7:30 p.m. (free).

Wednesday, July 1st

University Bookstore (University District):  Lance Reynald will discuss his novel Pop Salvation at 7 p.m. (free).

Elliot Bay Book Co.:  Kate Christensen will read from and discuss her novel Trouble at 7:30 p.m. (free).

Thursday, July 2nd: 

Seattle Mystery Bookshop:  Mike Lawson will sign his book House Secrets at noon (free).

Elliot Bay Book Co.:  Mary Lou Sanellli will read from her book of essays Among Friends at 7:30 p.m. (free).
