In the event you fell asleep before the 66th annual Golden Globe Awards finished Sunday night, I've compiled a list of the books that won.  Films and miniseries like John Adams (four Golden Globes) and Slumdog Millionaire (four Golden Globes) were both big winners.  Unfortunately, The Curious Case of Benjamen Button was shut out.   Any of these would make a welcome addition to your 2009 reading list.  If you're feeling inspired, head on over to your neighborhood bookstore and help an author out (and keep at your New Year's Resolution to read more).

Slumdog Millionaire (based on the novel Q&A by Vikas Swarup):  Best Drama, Best Director (Danny Boyle), Best Screenplay, and Best Musical Score

The Reader (based on the novel by Bernhard Schlink): Best Supporting Actress (Kate Winslet),

John Adams (based on the biography John Adams by David McCullough:  Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries (Tom Wilkinson), Best Actor in a Miniseries (Paul Giamatti), Best Actress in a Miniseries (Laura Linney), and Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television

Revolutionary Road (based on the book Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates):  Best Actress (Kate Winslet)

Sound off:  Have you read any of these?  What did you think?  Did they deserve the win?
