November is a busy month for the literary world. There are plenty of new releases this week from J.D. Robb, John Grisham, and Barbara Kingsolver as well as a slew of authors in town to promote their new releases. Here’s a peak at what is happening at the bookstores and libraries around Seattle this week. Happy reading!


Monday, November 2nd
Elliot Bay Book Co.:
Heather McHugh will read from her new collection of work Upgraded to Serious at 7 p.m. (free).
Third Place Books: Local author John Saul will discuss his novel House of Reckoning at 7 p.m. (free).
University Book Store (U-District): Zoe Francois will discuss his book Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day at 7 p.m. (free).
Town Hall Seattle: Eva Hoffman will discuss her book Time at 7:30 p.m. ($5).
Town Hall Seattle: Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner will discuss their book SuperFreaknomics at 7 p.m. ($30 includes a copy of the book).


Tuesday, November 3rd
Third Place Books:
Hulk Hogan will sign his book My Life Outside the Ring at 5 p.m. (free).
Elliot Bay Book Co.: Rana Husseini will discuss her book Murder in the Name of Honor: The True Story of One Woman’s Fight Against an Unbelievable Crime at 7 p.m. (free).
University Book Store (U-District): Erin McKittrick and Bretwood Higman will discuss their book A Long Trek Home: 4,000 Miles by Boat, Raft, and Ski at 7 p.m. (free).
Third Place Books: John Irving will discuss his book Last Night in Twisted River at 7:30 p.m. (free).
Town Hall Seattle: Rich Benjamin will discuss his book Searching for Whitopia: An Improbable Journey to the Heart of White America at 7:30 p.m. ($5).
