Full confession: for an avid reader, I watch a lot of television.  I have a weakness for police procedurals and frequently work on my blog entries while half watching Cold Case marathons (this could explain the occasional typo).  It was during one of these marathons last week that I began seeing commercials for the TNT made for TV movie: The Librarian:  Curse of the Judas Chalice starring ER's Noah Wyle and Bob Newhart (my blog headline is a quote taken from the previews).   This is the third (and hopefully final) installment of the Librarian (Quest for the Golden Spear) series about bookish Flynn Carson who saves priceless artifacts from bad guys.  This time he is trying to save the Judas Chalice and keep the world from being overrun by vampires.

I remember watching the first Librarian four years ago and having my grandfather call me during commercial breaks to tell me how absurd the movie was.  Even though I mocked it, a part of me totally ate up the cheesiness.  It's like Indiana Jones woke up one day and decided to go to library school.

If you've missed previous installments, The LibrarianThe Quest for the Golden Spear and The Librarian:  Return to King Solomon's Mines, TNT is airing both movies beginning at 4 pm. so that viewers can catch up with Flynn Carson's adventures.

The Librarian:  Curse of the Judas Chalice airs tonight at 8pm and 11 pm on TNT.  It is rated TV-PGV.
If you watched the movie (or any of them), please leave your rants and raves in the comment section below.
