If the constant snow storms have given you cabin fever, don't worry.  It appears to be letting up for today (though the roads are still a disaster).  You're probably looking to escape the confines of your home (and the rest of your holiday shopping) and find someplace warm and inviting like your local library.  Most libraries are open today, but before you head out check to see if they have modified hours.

The Seattle Public Library will open 25 of it's 27 branches today but will operate them on a modified schedule.  All branches (excluding the Central Library Branch downtown) will be open from one to five today.  The Central Library branch will be open from noon to five.  Both the Freemont and Madrona-Sally goldmark branches are closed today.

All branches of the King County Library System will close today at 3 p.m.due to the weather and road conditions.  They expect to reopen tomorrow as scheduled.

The Tacoma Public Library will not open any branches today due to the inclement weather.

The Pierce County Library System will open all of their branches at noon today except for Tillicum.  That branch will remain closed.

Due to the inclement weather, all Sno-Isle libraries will be closed today.  Holds will be held longer.

For updated information about snow closures, check with your local library before heading out.  Stay warm!
