Find out more about Danielle:

Danielle Dreger-Babbitt has spent the last 13 years working in bookstores and libraries. She once got grounded for reading in elementary school (it was way past her bedtime). In 2007 she read nearly 200 books, but don't ask her what her favorite one was. Asking a librarian to pick her favorite book is like asking a mother to choose her favorite child. When Danielle isn't reading, she's beating her husband at Scrabble. She can be reached here.

Library snow closures for Sunday

More snow means more library snow closures.  Fortunately, the weather looks like it will be letting up this week (and by letting up I mean snow showers not snow storms).  Before you head out this afternoon to pick up your guilty pleasure reads, check to see if your neighborhood library is open.

The Seattle Public Library will only open it's Central Library Branch downtown along with it's Ballard, West Seattle, Columbia, and Lake City Branches.  All other locations will be closed due to the weather.  These locations will have limited staff.  These five branches will be open from noon to five today.

The King County Library System has not released information yet on today's library closures.  Go here for updates.  Chances are a good number of the branches normally open on Sundays will be closed.

The Tacoma Public Library will not open any branches today as they do not normally operate on Sundays.

The Pierce County Library System has not updated their site for snow closures yet today.  Check their site for updates before heading out.

The Sno-Isle Regional Libraries may also be closed today, but information has not been released yet.  Go here for updates.

For updated information about snow closures, check with your local library before heading out.  Stay warm!
