A friend sent me this link to what might be the most unique and literary purse ever.  Who doesn't need a book purse?  I would  totally carry all of my stuff in a burse (as I would call it if I made my own).  Unfortunately, I do not have a crafty bone in my body.  For the unskilled and lazy there are some book purses for sale on etsy.  If you do have the skills to make your own, there are a number of sites that offer patterns and instructions, including some with video.  It seems like a great way to recycle an unloved or unused book that is taking up valuable shelf space in your home library.  If you aren't willing to part with a title of your own, why not try your local library book sale.  Chances are you can walk away with several hardcovers for less than a couple of bucks.  The holidays are creeping up on us.  This just may be the perfect gift for the librarian in your life.
