You just got a new gun ,now what?I owned a gun permit when I was living in Georgia,I was
about 20 years old , had a cute little half Spanish(Spain) and half African girl
friend named Makeba and just felt I needed one.Carried it right on my hip pretty
much every place I went besides a bar.I felt pretty safe wearing it but I do not think
its for everybody.I use to drink sometimes and looking back at it it probably is not
a good idea to drink ,have a gun permit, and hang out with sexy models
unless your ready to deal with some sticky situations.Thats all another story
entirely .Its a little tougher to get gun permit in New Orleans and the rest of the
state, you have to apply to the state police office, take a few classes with NRA and they give you a concealed
weapon permit .It cost $50 to apply and takes 45-90 days to process. You can not carry it
in police or government buildings and the airport.Recenty the Louisiana legislature added no guns
at parades so this is part of the handgun permit restrictions.I think the parade restriction is reactive legislation
rather then proactive. Our elected legislatures should have a little more vision rather then just creating laws after the crime is
done, isn't that what they get paid for.
