CAIN PARK

"A Cleveland Summer Tradition" is how many area residents would describe Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. People wait all year for the theater, gallery and programming experiences offered by this multi-faceted locale. This summer performing arts park (owned and operated by the City of Cleveland Heights) is no ordinary city park, but boasts about their broad-use facilities that include the mid-sized covered Alma Theater, the outdoor covered Evans Ampitheater, and the indoor Audrey & Harvey Feinberg Art Gallery, all surrounded by 22 acres of sporting, picnic and recreation areas.
Ksenia Roshchakovsky (Cain Park’s Marketing/Public Relations Manager) says one of her favorite things about working at Cain Park is the accessibility to the arts in a great setting. "My office is a beautiful park full of wonderful entertainment right in my backyard! Even though I work a lot of hours, I feel like I’m on summer vacation."
The programming at Cain Park is phenomenal and includes professional theater productions, Arts Festival, cabaret series, professional dance companies, children’s programming that reaches the whole family, and vast array of concerts.
The 2009 season (March-August) is going strong at Cain Park. Some of the upcoming 2009 Cain Park season highlights include:

- Arlo Guthrie & Richie Havens (7/18)

Roshchakovsky, who has been with Cain Park since 1989, says "2009 features audience favorites (Livingston Taylor, Judy Collins, Arlo Guthrie/Richie Havens, Over the Rhine, The Beach Boys) plus new performers in keeping with Cain Park’s eclectic programming (Circo Comedia, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Matt Dusk, Gin Blossoms & Tonic Tour)." She’s personally most excited to see Pippin (7/30-8/23), Eclectica (7/17) and Tartan Terrors (8/1).
