A peek of what is to come...

Not sure how many of my readers know this, but I am writing a book…full of fashion, real life drama and suspense…everything that you can relate to in your life hopefully. I have finished my first chapter, and am moving onto my second…but thought I would share a passage from my, what I would like to think of as a mini, unedited and very raw, masterpiece, as a little teaser… I hope you like it! :-) Stay tuned for more teasers in the following months. I will try to post little segments of my progress, because I know all 800+ of you might be interested.
And, again, thank you for being such loyal and faithful readers!
Baby’s powder mixed with a hint of oriental refuge, layered into a deep and intense, ever so opulent, fascinating, and unique trail of something that makes you feel like you are in a seductive Parisian love story that wraps your very soul in a velvety, yet silky smooth curtain of love. This is how you would describe her. She was magnificent, layering her strands of pearls atop her one of a kind, silk, Chanel full skirted dress. Her choice of shoe was a patent leather, black stiletto, with a silk red rose to match her scarlet colored lips. Champagne colored curls adorned her head, and her skin was a soft, ivory color. Her eyes were a hazel green, with the longest lashes you have ever seen.
As I watched her get ready for her by invitation only Christmas party, I secretly wished that one day I would be just like her. So magnificent in everything that she did, leaving no detail untouched, my mother encompassed what a true fashionista, stylista, and most importantly what a woman of great stature should be. Mozart, Piano Sonata in G Major, her favorite song to play piano, was playing in the background while she was being rushed by my father to hurry as they would be late for their engagement. She gently kissed me on my forehead, told me she loved me, and the door shut.
I was left there in her endless closet of shoes, accessories, and makeup. Four hours to resist my temptation to go on an excursion in her closet was too great, as I finally gave in, and dressed myself in her clothes. Escada called my name, as I put on a golden dress. Dressed in my mother’s shoes, handbag, necklaces, earrings, about two or three scarves, and feather headband, I decided that in order for me to be just like her, I would need to have her scarlet red lips and her smoky eyes. As I indulged myself to what seemed to be an endless array of Christian Dior, and YSL eye-shadows, I spilt an entire jar of bronzing powder all over her dress. I look at the clock and it has been almost four hours. I was sitting there covered in a hue of brown powder, and the once golden silk threads were a brownish-red color covered with mountains of powder as I hear the two beeps from the car locking outside...
That’s it for now…guess you will have to wait to see what happens!!
Fashionably Yours,
Fanitsa Limberis
