How to be fashionable when your wallet isn't

When you think of fashion, you think of clothing, accessories, shoes and glamorous celebrities. But is that all there is to fashion, just the way you look and if it is aesthetically appealing? Are we so wrapped up in a world that is superficial enough to not realize that being fashionable is NOT just about what designer purse you are carrying?
Well economic times these days are starting to hit home. Our bank accounts are getting smaller while out eyes are getting larger. So what is a girl to do when times like these are upon us? The answer is to just “STOP!”
Stop and think what is it that you have in your closet already that can be fashionable and up to date. Do some spring cleaning in your closet as well as your soul. Pair up outfits with new touches of spring colors. Take your winter leggings and pair them with a frock and a new summer scarf instead of buying a completely new outfit and give everything else away to people that might need it more than you.
Fashion is about how you feel about yourself inside and out. It is about confidence and poise, about how you hold yourself together even when it’s hard to in times like these and still manage to give to others. Being fashionable is about you, your life and how you live it, and when you can rub off on others to improve their lives, you will also improve yours. Sure, fashions do very well include the newest trends off the runways, but those are just accessories to your soul, a soul that will always remain beautiful, as long as you remember to stay fashionable.
Fashionably Yours,
