There were countless numbers of entries that entered to receive an all inclusive makeover from FL Styling and Events, and co-sponsors designer Oscar Fierro, makeup artist Daniel Blaylock, headband designer Elisa Monterroso, hair stylist Veronica Duran and personal trainer Brad Shaub worth over $2,000.00!
After reviewing at least 150 entries, FL Styling and Events contacted the winner, Candice Stigleman to inform her that she had won an all inclusive fashion makeover to take place on Sunday, March 15th, 2008 at the Oscar Fierro boutique. Candice was so excited and tears of joy rolled down her face as this is exactly what she needed to jump start her life in the right direction. She submitted her 500 or less word essay to FL Styling and Events a few weeks ago and since it has managed to stay on top of the pile until finally it was shown that she was the best contestant and now winner.
Candice’s Story:
Why should I win an FL Styling and Events fashion makeover?
As I sit and try and think of a good answer the one of the only things I can think of is that I have sort of looked the same for the past few years. I think I deserve to be pampered since I help out so much with my little sister when she visits my dad. I feel like a mom which is something I don’t want to feel at my age. It’s draining to deal with the custody issues that go on between her mom and our dad. There are constant fights and I am always worried about my little sister and what she is going through. I feel that it has brought me down because I tend to worry about the whole situation constantly instead of my young life. I do not want to be selfish and worry about my appearance, but rather the well-being of my family.
I want a new look so I can feel more confident about myself and I want to go out with friends and have a cocktail or go shopping. It’s hard at a time like this when the economy is down, and you have no money to spend on yourself. I would hope that a new look could help with my confidence and to feel more my age as well as be more successful. So, this makeover contest is exactly what I need for me have a confidence boost and not to feel so scared of putting me out there. It’s a scary world and I am quite reserved. So I think a new look would help give me a boost and point me in the right direction and feel my age.
