I always get the question of what to wear on a first date, so I decided this is the perfect time to write about it!  First and foremost it completely depends on where you are going.  But usually first dates are not at a fancy restaurant; they are usually out for lunch or a coffee of some sort.

When going out to lunch, if your date doesn’t specify where, then offer up a place you feel comfortable at and you like.  There is nothing worse than going somewhere and completely hating the food, and having that awkward moment of sending it back and having the possibility of it coming back wrong a second time.  By that time your date has already finished their meal and then you don’t want to eat by yourself, so you just kind of play with your food, until it is time to go.

So after you have established where you are going, make sure not to overdo it with your outfit.  Wear something comfortable and that you know you look good in and feel confident.  Believe me, after styling for a while, it becomes very obvious if you do not like what you’re wearing and will eventually show and make you seem uneasy and less confident.  And, the fact that it is cooler right now, I would suggest a sweater dress or long tunic, leggings and your favorite pair of boots, add a bold bracelet and some simple earrings; or if a dress if not your thing, why not try a pair of your favorite jeans, with a flowy blouse and a jacket to pull the look together.  Nothing too showy, because you want your date to focus on you, not you ensemble, but rather just to take notice that you have fabulous style!

If you pick something that you love and go somewhere you like, then you are sure to have a fantastic time and a possible second date!
