AddThis is a bookmarking and sharing service, which Web sites use to allow people to share content across many Web services (such as share on Facebook). The service is now expanding its available sharing services (which are now so numerous that it’s hard to keep up).
AddThis today launched its open Service Directory, which allows any social network, social bookmarking site or online tool to be listed on the network of its menus across the Web. AddThis said the new directory was prompted by the flood of incoming requests received each day from people around the world asking for their favorite sites to be added to the menu.
Well, won’t all of these sharing services make sharing more complicated? AddThis claims it can automatically display the right services from its vast directory by using a person’s previous sharing history.
