Blizzard astounded the fanbase earlier this week with the announcement of the upcoming patch 3.2.2 to World of Warcraft, which updates the classic raid boss Onyxia (MORE DOTS!) to modern standards.
On the one hand, this is really blatant content recycling. Blizzard has even said that many of Onyxia's drops will be the same as they were in classic WoW, with upgraded stats for level 80. Like a disturbing amount of Wrath of the Lich King so far, it's shining up an old, mostly-unused raid and releasing it to an increasingly jaded player base.
On the other, Onyxia is a pretty cool fight that a lot of modern players have never gotten to see when it was actually challenging; several classes can solo her at 80, to the point that her treasure table was nerfed a while back. (Death knights were treating the level 60 20-man dungeons like a daily quest with a really sweet payout.) It also may be worth it to get a modern equivalent of your T2 helmet. I can imagine many paladins I know who'd leap at the chance for a level-80 reskin of the Judgement Crown.
Blizzard has also quietly released a set of new patch notes for 3.2.2, which includes a couple of troubling nerfs to protection paladins.
