The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is a nonprofit organization which seeks to improve the quality of life for LGBT people in the metro Milwaukee area.  No matter what you seek to achieve in your life, there is something for you at the community center.  Listed below are the clubs/organizations that are held at the Center.

Programs Offered:

  • Anti-Violence Project: Addresses the impact of domestic abuse, sexual assault and hate crimes on LGBT people by raising community awareness and connecting victims to LGBT-friendly services.
  • HIV Prevention and Testing Program: Provides support for African-American HIV-positive men who have sex with men.
  • Project Q: Youth development program that provides support, programming and resources to and with LGBTQ youth and their straight allies, ages 13-24.
  • LGBT Tobacco Cessation & Smoke-Free Space: Offers information and resources to fight nicotine addiction and encourages a commitment to the elimination of second hand smoke.
  • Spiritual Wellness Program: Offers opportunities for our LGBT an allied communities to engage with their spiritual connections.
  • Environmental Wellness Program: Focuses on learning how we can leave less of a "carbon footprint" on our planet.
  • Financial Security Program: Helps LGBT youth, adults and elders to address financial issues, including financial literacy, job skills and retention, credit card debt reduction, identity theft, and financial planning for college or retirement.
  • Breast Health for Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Women: Focuses on developing breast health awareness for the LBT community and providing resources for female identified women who cannot afford a mammogram.
  • Relationship Seminar for Foster & Adoptive LGBT Parents: Addresses the impact fostering and/or adopting children has on relationships, and helps parents focus on the importance of keeping their relationship healthy.
  • Advocacy: Focuses on LGBT health disparities, smoke free air & space, two parent adoption, and hate crimes.
  • Speaking & Training: Provides speakers and training to schools, organizations and businesses.

Services Offered:

  • Meeting Space: Provides meeting space for LGBT organizations in the Metropolitan Milwaukee area.
  • David Bohnett CyberCenter: Offers free internet access for adults and youth.
  • LGBT Resource Director and Information & Referral Line: Provides a resource directory which includes listings of LGBT-friendly service providers, such as doctors and lawyers.
  • LGBT Community Library: Makes available to the public over 2,000 LGBT-related books, both fiction and nonfiction.
  • Community Breakfast: Brings together members of the LGBT community and their allies to discuss topical issues.
