You can bribe treat your kid to a gorgeous Trophy Cupcake and a romp on the playground after shoe shopping.

Older kids will enjoy seeing the Seattle Center in a new light through their scavenger hunt. A set of challenges leads your scavengers through the Seattle Center campus in search of fountains, art installations, and landmarks. Completed entries are eligible for prizes, including tickets and gift packs for popular Seattle Center events such as Bumbershoot and concerts. Entry forms, clue sheets, and contest instructions are available at the Seattle Center Customer Information Kiosks in the Center House and at their website. Ongoing daily through 6/30. 206/684-7200.
Visit Jim Henson's Fantastic World at the EMP
You and your kids will all enjoy the Jim Henson's Fantastic World exhibit at the EMP. The exhibit features original artwork and drawings, cartoons, and storyboards that illustrate Henson's storytelling and visionary work. On exhibit, you'll be able to see puppets from both you and your child's childhoods, television and movie props, and even excerpts from Henson's earlier works. For the younger kids there will also be a hand-on puppet theatre that will allow visitors to experience what it's like to perform puppets in front of monitors and an audience and even get to perform the puppets singing favorite Muppet and Sesame Street songs. Open through August 16th, this exhibit is not to be missed!
