The Partnership for a Drug-Free America has developed a website full of excellent resources for parents who suspect that their teenager might be addicted to drugs or alcohol.

The Time to Act website lists multiple areas which can clue parents in to their teenagers behavior, as well as video resources from experts about how to handle situations where drugs or alcohol may be involved.

Areas such as behavioral issues, school or work issues, personal appearance, home or car related issues, health issues, and personal habits are broken down to give parents a check list of signs that their teen may have a drug or alcohol abuse problem.

There are a lot of reasons that teenagers can become addicted to drugs or alcohol, but the best method for being able to handle the problem is through early detection and intervention. Parents should make themselves aware of these warning signs so that they can spot potential addictions early on.
