Momentum - New Dance Works
Each week I will be endeavoring to list new productions opening around the Twin Cities. With such an abundance of companies and venues in the area, keeping track of openings can be a challenge. I'm almost certain to miss a few, but I'll link whatever I can find. Provided descriptions are reprinted from production websites.
Opening July 16th
Illusion Theater: A Great Miracle Happened Here
Part of the Illusion Theater’s 2009 Fresh Ink series. A Midwestern couple’s world turns upside down when their 18-year-old son decides to join the Israeli Army. Torn between encouraging him and worrying about his safety, they both pray for miracles while waiting for him to return home for high school graduation. Runs through 07/19.

Southern Theater: Momentum – New Dance Works
Providing a snapshot of Minnesota’s dance landscape, Momentum illuminates the skill and passion of the next generation’s most promising artists. Featuring two companies each evening, Momentum showcases new voices and ideas that articulate the latest combinations in dance while solidifying the Twin Cities as a hotbed of fresh, experimental and under-the-radar talent. Runs through 07/25.
