Over the last few days, Hulk Hogan has taken some shots at Stone Cold Steve Austin by comparing their respective careers and egos.

Hogan's comments

"Stone Cold's bragger's claim to fame is: 'I never wrestled Hulk Hogan.' I think he thinks he's God's gift to wrestling,"

"It would be a tremendous match for the fans. If he can get on the same page with me and put ego out of the way, who cares who wins? It would be a match people would love to see."

"It's kind of interesting now to have about 30 years of this wrestling history under my belt and kind of look back and see the Rocks and the Stone Colds pass through for a couple of years,"

After reading Hogan's remarks, plenty of questions/comments come to mind about these two men.

  • In the history of Pro-Wrestling, Hulk Hogan has always been considered to have the biggest ego.
  • At least Steve Austin knew how to wrestle and could put on good matches with different wrestlers.
  • The numbers dont lie. Austin broke all of Hogan's records for ratings, merchandise, popularity and more.
  • Before Hogan became the Hulkster, he had a very average career. Before Austin became Stone Cold, he had an above average career as a single's and tag-team wrestler.
  • Hogan's the better musician and Austin is the better hunter.
  • Hogan had the Pythons and Austin was the Rattlesnake.
  • In the history of Pro-Wrestling, Hogan vs. Andre the Giant is still more significant than any match Austin has done.
  • Hogan's heel turn was a huge shock.

I'm sure there's plenty more to add to this list but my point is this, Austin was a better wrestler, box-office draw, and selling of merchandise. Hogan was a bigger main stream star than Austin and still is. I find great humor in Hogan's comments. If he's trying to turn over a new leaf, I wouldn't recommend bashing other people.

Wrestling fans. let me know who you think is better.
