
Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle
Wolfe takes the early control by working over Angle’s arm. Angle tries to fight back but Wolfe cuts him off with a suplex and continues to work on the arm and neck. Angle pulls out several german suplexes and the crowd erupts. Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Wolfe hits a giant clothesline for a 2 count.
Wolfe goes for The Tower of London but Angle counters with his Angle Slam for a 2 count. Angle goes for another attempt of the Angle Slam but Wolfe blocks it and goes back to working on Angles arm and neck. The two men exchange a series of ankle locks into hammer locks. Finally Angle gets Wolfe into the ankle lock but Wolfe gets to the bottom rope. Angle goes for another Ankle Slam and Wolfe hits a mid-air DDT on Angle. Crowd is chanting this is Awesome.
Wolfe hits the Tower of London for a 2 count. He goes for the clothesline but Angle counters with one of his own. Angle goes for a moonsault but Wolfe stops him and goes back to work on the arm and neck. Angle blocks another attempt of the Tower of London and hits a frog splash.
The end of the match comes when each man counters a submission hold with one of their own until Angle is able to lock in a triangle choke for the win.
Winner – Kurt Angle
Grade – 9/10
This match was worth the price of the PPV. Great work, psychology, and athleticism from both men. A near 20 minute match that proves there’s still some hope for us Pro-Wrestling fans. A must see match…
